- ‘Pawn Stars’ fans slam Corey Harrison for turning down a Lamborghini over minor price gap (marketrealist.com)
“Pawn Stars” viewers cried foul after Corey Harrison passed on a Lamborghini Murciélago over a $5,000 price difference. The episode, which has sparked debate online, features Harrison evaluating the 2003 sports car – the same model driven by Bruce Wayne in “The Dark Knight” trilogy.
Harrison, excited by the prospect of a high-value car coming into the shop, was greeted with a pristine Murciélago. After a test drive by the shop’s mechanic gave the car a clean bill of health, Harrison called in an expert appraiser.
The owner’s asking price was $115,000. The expert, however, valued the car between $85,000 and $90,000.
Harrison, sensing a potential profit, offered $95,000. The owner countered with a $100,000 bottom line, but Harrison refused to budge.
Fans now claim Harrison missed out on a huge deal. While the car’s value at the time of filming was debatable, commenters on the episode’s YouTube video pointed out that similar models with the rare gated shifter are now selling for upwards of $300,000.
Many expressed disbelief that Harrison let the car slip through his fingers over such a relatively small amount, especially considering its potential future value. One fan lamented, “For $5k, you should have bought it brother.
It’s worth twice that value now.” Another added, “I’m glad he kept the car.
That car now goes over 300k used.”
