British Singer Lola Young Collapses Mid-Performance at All Things Go Festival

Fans expressed concern after rising British singer Lola Young, 24, collapsed on stage during her performance at the All Things Go Music Festival in New York City on Saturday, September 27.

The incident occurred as Young was performing her song “Conceited” at Forest Hills Stadium. Medical personnel promptly responded, carrying the artist offstage.

Shortly after, fellow performer Remi Wolf addressed the audience, visibly shaken, stating, “That was really f—— scary. My friend Lola is backstage, and she is okay.”

Earlier in her set, Young had spoken to the crowd, hinting at recent personal challenges. “I’ve had a tricky couple of days. Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue, but you know what, today I woke up and I made the decision to come here, and I wanted to be cool … and sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.”

This performance followed the cancellation of Young’s appearance at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert on Friday, September 26. While an official medical cause for her onstage collapse has not been confirmed, her team attributed the prior cancellation to a “sensitive matter.”

In a statement shared on Young’s Instagram Stories, her longtime manager, Nick Shymansky, explained the team’s actions: “There are [occasionally] days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe. She is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.”

Lola Young has rapidly become one of the U.K.’s most promising new artists. She gained widespread recognition with her 2024 hit single “Messy,” which garnered significant traction across social media platforms.

Her discography includes albums such as My Mind Wanders and Sometimes Leaves Completely (2023) and This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway (2024). Her latest record, I’m Only F—— Myself, achieved notable success, reaching No. 2 on the U.K.

Official Albums Chart.
