Steve Harvey Confesses to Watching One Disney Movie 117 Times on ‘Family Feud’

“Family Feud” host Steve Harvey is renowned for his animated expressions and quick wit when reacting to contestants’ often outlandish answers. However, during a recent episode, it was Harvey himself who surprised fans by revealing a surprising, albeit reluctant, dedication to a classic Disney film. It turns out the popular host has watched one particular movie more than a hundred times, all thanks to his son.

The revelation unfolded as Harvey posed a survey question to the competing families: “Name a Disney movie that makes adults cry like babies.” As answers began to populate the board, Harvey admitted his unfamiliarity with many of the suggested titles, appearing genuinely confused by the emotional impact some of these films had on viewers.

The Naquin family kicked off the round, with Trish correctly guessing “Dumbo” as the number three answer. Rachel followed up with “Bambi,” securing the top spot and prompting the Naquins to play on.

Harvey, however, confessed his ignorance regarding both movies. Debbie’s guess of “Beauty and the Beast” didn’t make the board, but then Jay offered an answer that finally resonated with the host: “The Lion King.”

“Now that movie I’ve seen,” Harvey declared, a hint of exasperation in his voice. “I’ve watched that movie 117 times ’cause my son Wynton was a little boy when that movie was out and all he wanted to watch was The Lion King.

I was crying ‘cause I was sick of watching it.” Jay’s answer, fueled by Harvey’s personal experience, landed on the board.

The game continued, with Andrew suggesting the more obscure “Brother Bear” and Kim offering “Frozen,” neither of which appeared on the survey. These misses led to the Naquin family’s third strike, giving the Fetting family a chance to steal.

Shellie of the Fetting family attempted “Lady and the Tramp,” a title that amused Harvey, but it too failed to make the board. As a result, the Naquin family won the round.

The remaining answers from the survey included “The Little Mermaid,” “Old Yeller,” “Toy Story,” and “Up.”
