LeAnn Rimes Encounters Uninvited Guest β A Bat! β During Ocean City Stay
Country music superstar LeAnn Rimes had an unexpected, and rather “bat-ty,” souvenir from her recent trip to Ocean City, Maryland. After dazzling fans at the Country Calling music festival, Rimes found herself face-to-face with a furry, winged intruder in her Airbnb rental, an encounter she handled with a mix of country grit and pajama-clad squeals.
The “Blue” songstress, 43, took to social media on Saturday, October 4th, sharing a hilarious (and slightly terrifying) video of a large bat fluttering wildly through her temporary digs. Clad in her pajamas, Rimes captured the bizarre spectacle, showing the creature circling another room as she bravely (mostly) hid in the bedroom.
“He’s aggressive,” Rimes declared from a safe distance, before attempting a truce with a hesitant, “Hi bat.” Her courage, however, was short-lived, as another sudden swoop sent her scurrying back into the bedroom with a fresh shriek. A companion, filming the whole ordeal, playfully quipped, “She thought she was so brave,” to which Rimes defiantly retorted, “I am brave!”
Rimes captioned her post with a playful nod to her festival performance: “country calledβ¦ and i answered π… i even got to take in some wildlife at my air bnb that evening LOL π¦”. Fans quickly flooded the comments, offering everything from amused critiques (“good job you good at that singing thing as you suck as a bat catcher π”) to slightly alarming advice (“And now time to get your rabies shots”).
The burning question on everyone’s mind: what happened to the winged visitor? Rimes later confirmed the happy ending, replying to a fan, “thank god, the little guy left the building π.”
Despite the unexpected wildlife encounter, Rimes had nothing but praise for her time at the Country Calling festival, calling it “pure magic” in a follow-up post. She joined a star-studded lineup that included Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Brooks & Dunn, and Wynonna Judd, among others, bringing her signature sound to the Ocean City stage.
It seems even seasoned performers aren’t immune to the occasional quirky close encounter with local wildlife. While it might not have been the kind of “calling” she expected, LeAnn Rimes certainly gave fans a memorable glimpse into her off-stage adventures in Maryland.
