Texas Mother Charged with Murder After Fatal Shooting of Two Children

ANGLETON, Texas – A 31-year-old Texas mother is facing murder charges after allegedly shooting her four children over the weekend, resulting in the deaths of two of them. Authorities confirmed Sunday that the woman is being held on a $14 million bond following the tragic incident in Brazoria County.

Brazoria County Sheriff Bo Stallman reported that the mother has been charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The victims include a 13-year-old and a 4-year-old, who were both fatally shot inside a vehicle on Saturday. Two other children, aged 8 and 9, sustained injuries but are currently in stable condition at a Houston-area hospital after being airlifted for medical attention.

According to Sheriff Stallman, the mother herself placed the 911 call to alert authorities after the shooting. A weapon was recovered at the scene.

“It is impossible to make sense of a senseless tragedy like this,” Sheriff Stallman stated, “but we will do everything we can to seek justice for these children.”

The suspect is identified as a resident of Montgomery County, located north of Houston. The shooting occurred in Angleton, the county seat of Brazoria County, a city with a population of approximately 19,500 situated about 45 miles south of Houston.
