It’s not every day a “Wheel of Fortune” contestant walks away with a brand-new car and immediately declares it’s not for them. But that’s exactly what happened with Andrea Kennedy, whose heartwarming win has everyone talking – especially her youngest daughter, Harper!
Andrea’s journey on the iconic game show was a real nail-biter. After competitor Machelle-Melton dominated the first toss-up and Nichols snagged the second, Kennedy’s initial rounds were a true rollercoaster.
She impressively earned the coveted one-million-dollar wedge, only to lose it in the very next round when she landed on bankruptcy. Talk about a dramatic turn!
However, this determined mom-of-two wasn’t out for the count. She managed to rally, significantly upping her game and taking her total cash earnings to $18,443, securing her spot in the coveted Bonus Round. Her fellow competitors, meanwhile, left the show with $3,000 each.
Before the final round began, Andrea charmingly revealed the unique condition for any car she might win. Her youngest daughter, Harper, had already called dibs on it!
“The youngest one already called the car,” Kennedy shared with host Ryan Seacrest, who, clearly amused, gave a sweet shoutout: “Ok, Harper. This spin is for you!”
Choosing “Person” as her category, Andrea added the letters “C, M, D, and A” to the puzzle, which already featured “R, S, T, L, N, and E.” The board read: “_ RE N D _L_MAT.”
She instantly recognized the second word as “Diplomat,” but the first remained a mystery until the 10-second clock began ticking. Without missing a beat, she confidently guessed, “Foreign Diplomat,” and it was the perfect answer!
Before revealing the grand prize, Seacrest delightedly announced, “Harper’s gonna be very happy.” The envelope confirmed her win: a shiny new FORD, destined for her eager daughter.
The internet, of course, absolutely loved this adorable twist! Social media lit up with comments from fans reacting to the incredible coincidence.
“I bet Harper was screaming her lungs out!” one user wrote, while another added, “Harper got her wish.”
