Local News Rewrites “Family Feud” Fun: Hair-Loss Prevention Sparks Hilarious Harvey Reaction
“Family Feud” fans know that host Steve Harvey is a master of the comedic roast, but it’s a rare sight to see him genuinely (and hilariously) offended by a contestant. This past week delivered just such a moment, and it wasn’t even about a wild answer! Instead, it was a contestant’s line of work that struck a nerve with the beloved game show host.
The memorable exchange unfolded after Harvey posed the question, “You’d panic if a bee flew into your what?” Jeff, a quick-on-the-buzzer contestant from the Mann family, instantly hit “Mouth,” snagging the number one answer and allowing his family to play on.
As the game progressed, Crystal’s guess of “eye” unfortunately didn’t make the board. Then came Alicia’s turn.
Before she could offer an answer, Harvey, ever curious, asked about her profession. “I’m an entrepreneur, and I own an all-natural hair care company that focuses on hair-loss prevention,” she proudly stated.
That’s when the studio audience—and Harvey himself—erupted! With a perfectly timed comedic pause, Harvey quipped, “She’s telling it to me like I’m too late!”
He then comically mimicked Alicia, much to the amusement of everyone present. It seems a business dedicated to preventing hair loss might hit a little too close to home for our famously bald host.
Brushing off his feigned offense, Harvey returned to the game. Alicia, now composed, offered “Ear,” which thankfully was a correct answer. Her teammate, T, followed up with “My blouse,” also a hit on the board.
However, the Mann family’s luck soon ran out. Anette’s guess of “My car” was a miss, giving them a second strike. When Jeff’s turn rolled around again, his “house” also proved incorrect, leading to the dreaded third strike and opening the door for the opposing Mullins family to steal.
Stepping up for the steal, Della of the Mullins family confidently—or perhaps apologetically—declared, “We’re gonna say hair.” Even Della herself seemed to doubt her answer, offering an apology mid-sentence.
But Harvey, seizing the moment, delivered another side-splitting remark: “Well, you ain’t got to be sorry, but if it (a bee) flying to the hair that’s left on me, you damn right I’m gonna panic!” The studio was once again filled with laughter.
Against all odds, “Hair” was indeed on the board, securing an unlikely victory for the Mullins family and capping off a truly unforgettable round of “Family Feud.” It just goes to show, you never know what’s going to tickle—or offend—Steve Harvey!
