Steve Harvey’s Ears Take a Vacation, Nearly Derailing ‘Celebrity Family Feud’
Hollywood, CA – “Celebrity Family Feud” is known for its star power and laugh-out-loud moments, but sometimes, even the seasoned host, Steve Harvey, finds himself in a pickle. During a recent episode featuring The Band Perry facing off against TV personality Giuliana Rancic and her family, Harvey experienced what can only be described as a temporary auditory malfunction, leading to some truly chaotic and hilarious exchanges.
The Rancic family, including Giuliana’s husband Bill, had successfully answered the question, “A woman might say I broke up with my boyfriend after I found out he had what?” This earned them the chance to continue playing. All seemed well until it was Anna, Giuliana’s mother, turn to provide an answer.
Harvey, ever the cautious host with two strikes already on the board, leaned in to hear Anna’s response. She confidently stated, “another woman.”
However, it seemed the words simply didn’t register with Harvey, who looked utterly perplexed. Despite the rest of the family and the audience clearly understanding, Harvey’s “ears stopped working,” as one might say.
A moment of confusion ensued before Giuliana stepped in to clarify that “another woman” was indeed the answer, and it was already on the board! The game continued, and Anna was given another chance.
This time, her answer was, “Because he spent a lot of money.” Again, Harvey looked completely baffled, prompting another round of head-scratching from the host.
Visibly flustered, Harvey walked to the center of the stage, staring blankly, seemingly trying to decipher Anna’s words. In a moment of pure comedic genius, he then blurted out, “Cuz he ate spaghetti on Monday!”
The audience erupted in laughter, and Giuliana immediately corrected him, exclaiming, “That’s not what Momma said!” Realizing his spectacular misinterpretation, Harvey nearly toppled over with laughter himself.
“Cuz he ate spaghetti on a Monday, I was saying okay. Split up with him for that hell,” he quipped, recovering with his signature humor.
Unfortunately for the Rancic family, despite the memorable antics, Anna’s final answer, “Because he spent a lot of money,” did not appear on the board, leading to a strikeout. While the points may not have gone their way, the moment provided another classic “Family Feud” memory thanks to Steve Harvey’s hilariously malfunctioning ears.
