South Park Delivers Spooky Political Satire in Halloween Special

“South Park” has returned with a hilariously twisted Halloween special, taking aim at the current political landscape in Washington, D.C., with its signature brand of no-holds-barred satire. The second episode of Season 28, titled “The Woman in the Hat,” didn’t shy away from controversy, featuring former President Donald Trump and a very pregnant Satan appearing on the White House lawn amidst the rubble of a recently demolished East Wing.

The episode lampoons the president’s promise that his new ballroom construction wouldn’t interfere with the original White House structure. A recurring gag features Attorney General Pam Bondi sporting an increasingly noticeable fecal smear on her face, much to the alarm of Vice President J.D. Vance, who fears she’s gunning for his job.

“South Park” has a long history of targeting prominent political figures, and this episode continues the tradition by spoofing Bondi as a literal brown-noser. Fans on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) were quick to react, with one user exclaiming, “And we finally get Pam Bondi and Melania on South Park.” The show’s portrayal of Bondi satirizes her unwavering loyalty to the president, even featuring a doctored photo of her with the unsavory embellishment.

Adding to the White House chaos, a creepy Stephen Miller leads a paranormal investigation to rid the executive mansion of a sinister spirit, unleashed during the East Wing demolition. This ghostly entity manifests as Melania Trump, her face obscured by a massive hat.

The bizarre brown mess on Bondi’s face, which grows larger and reappears even after being wiped away, is eventually identified as “rectoplasm.” This unsettling substance is reportedly composed of “54% Filet-o-Fish sandwich and 28% Taco Bell and 14% its own c–.”

The “rectoplasm” reappears whenever Bondi compliments the president, culminating in a White House seance where she becomes possessed and turns against him. “South Park is nailing it on the head!”

one viewer commented.

Originally slated for Wednesday, the Halloween special was moved to Friday to align with the holiday, a scheduling shift that has become somewhat common for Seasons 27 and 28. Despite the delay, fans eagerly tuned in, with many praising the episode. “This South Park episode is killing me omfg,” one fan raved, while another posted, “South Park Halloween episode was hilarious.”

The episode will be available for streaming on Paramount+ starting Saturday.
