Mama June’s Ring Bling Sparks Fan Alarm Over Raw Fingers

Reality TV personality Mama June Shannon, known from Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, sparked concern among her followers on November 1, 2025, after sharing a video showcasing her fingers looking raw and blistered from her numerous rings. The clip was a direct response to fans suggesting she clean her jewelry.

The video began with Shannon addressing what she perceived as “haters” giving her a hard time about “something as simple as me cleaning my rings,” asserting that she cleans them “once a month.” However, viewers were quickly distracted by the apparent damage to her skin, growing worried when she stated, “I wear them 24 hours, seven days a week.”

“I don’t wear these out just for a little show and put them in the jewelry box, baby. No, I wear these all the time.

I go to bed with them,” Shannon explained. “I don’t clean them that much because it’s hard for me to be able to put them back on, as you can see.

I wear them so much that it rubs my bottom of my fingers raw. But anyway, hopefully these are clean enough for y’all.”

The focus for many commenters quickly shifted from the cleanliness of the rings to the condition of Shannon’s fingers. “Love ’em!

Just get them sized right. They will feel better!”

advised one fan. Another commenter warned, “You need to get them resized before you have to get them CUT OFF.”

Further remarks included, “Oh my gosh, June…. Take them in and get them resized.

Good lord, that looks horrible,” and “That looks soooo painful ouchhhh.” A fan also expressed concern that Shannon might be “cutting off [her] circulation.”

Shannon has a well-documented passion for jewelry, frequently sharing her experiences, from visits to New York City’s diamond district to collaborating with a jewelry designer on custom pieces. Among her collection, a particularly poignant item is a bracelet charm containing her late daughter Anna Cardwell’s ashes, created after Anna’s passing from cancer.

“I got a piece that goes on my bracelet with her ashes on one side, her fingerprint on another side,” Shannon shared during an episode of Mama June: Family Crisis. “That was just my way of keeping my promise to Anna.

She wanted to be carried around everywhere; she just didn’t wanna be in a box. I’ll be carrying Anna everywhere…

Everywhere.”
