Bronson Pinchot, ‘Perfect Strangers’ Star, Takes a Tumble, Assures Fans He’s “Just Dead A– Sexy”
Hollywood, CA – Beloved ’80s sitcom icon Bronson Pinchot, best known for his role as Balki Bartokomous in Perfect Strangers, recently gave fans a scare after taking a serious fall, but has since updated them with his characteristic blend of humor and reassurances.
On Sunday, November 9th, Pinchot, 66, shared a photo on Instagram displaying facial injuries, including scrapes, bruising, and swelling around his left eye. He captioned the image, “This is me 24 hours after face-planting on concrete after falling off slippery stairs.”
He added that he hadn’t immediately sought medical attention, admitting, “No I haven’t gone to hospital yet (way too tired for that) yes I will go tomorrow. Didn’t eat or drink til 25th hour cuz too exhausted to order Door Dash & too male to ask for help.”
Later that day, Pinchot posted an update confirming he had “finally succumbed to all the benevolent naggery and gotten myself to ER.” He detailed his hospital visit, noting, “Tetanus update okayed, have been poked, rotated, made to resist, questioned, made to touch nose, everything good so far, nothing hurts, yeah, ship has sailed on scar 🤷♂️.”
Ever the comedian, he recounted a humorous exchange with hospital staff: “SUPER fun fact: I checked in while my sis parked car. They confidentially sidled up to me and whispered: ‘Is anyone abusing you?’
I whispered back: ‘No, but could you pull my sister aside when she comes in & question her like she is an abuser?’ My guess is extremely-off-the-wall humor is too out there for ER.”
By Monday, November 10th, Pinchot was back on Instagram with good news. “Back from ER,” he announced.
“No concussion, brain bleeding, facial breakage, etc. Just dead a– sexy street cred gashes.”
Fans immediately flooded the comments section with prayers, well-wishes, and relief. “Glad you’re okay, Bronson.
The citizens of Mypos need you healthy! 🙏🏻,” wrote one Instagram user, referencing his iconic Perfect Strangers character.
Others echoed similar sentiments, expressing happiness that his injuries were not severe and sending continued healing thoughts.
Pinchot famously starred as Balki Bartokomous alongside Mark Linn-Baker’s Larry Appleton in Perfect Strangers, which aired for eight seasons from 1986 to 1993.
