Royal Photo Fiasco at Kris Jenner’s 70th Birthday Bash: The Mystery Unraveled
Beverly Hills, CA – A minor social media kerfuffle unfolded this week after photos featuring Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Kris Jenner’s extravagant 70th birthday celebration mysteriously vanished from Instagram posts. The reason behind the disappearing royals now appears to be solved, shedding light on a classic case of a missed memo.
According to reports from Tom Sykes’ The Royalist Substack, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, aged 41 and 44 respectively, reportedly checked “no” on a photo consent form provided to guests prior to the star-studded affair. This selection indicated their desire for images of themselves inside the event to remain private.
It seems this crucial request was overlooked by a member of the Kardashian-Jenner social media team. Consequently, photos featuring the royal couple briefly appeared in posts by both Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner on Monday, November 10th, before being swiftly removed.
The birthday bash, a surprise “James Bond” themed extravaganza hosted by Jenner’s children, was held on Saturday, November 8th, at the sprawling Beverly Hills mansion of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. The “007” theme was a clever nod to Jenner’s milestone 70th birthday.
Prince Harry, sporting a velvet tuxedo jacket adorned with a poppy pin in observance of the U.K.’s Remembrance Day, and Meghan, elegant in a sleek black dress with a turtleneck and high slit, were photographed arriving at the opulent event.
Kim Kardashian initially shared a carousel of images from the “KASINO ROYALE” themed party on Instagram, including one where Meghan posed alongside her, with Harry visible in the background. Other notable attendees in Kim’s post included Paris Hilton, Justin Bieber, and Ciara.
However, Meghan’s image soon disappeared from the series. Kris Jenner’s own “Magical night” photo dump, which initially included a picture with both Harry and Meghan, also saw the royal duo removed.
Despite the initial confusion, Sykes reported that Prince Harry and Meghan were “not particularly bothered” by the brief appearance of their images online. While some outlets, like TMZ, suggested the deletions might have been linked to Remembrance Day, a source close to the event told Us Weekly that they were unaware of any photo consent forms for guests.
The photo mishap aside, Kris Jenner continued to share glimpses of her “very best nights” with family and friends, featuring celebrities like Kathie Lee Gifford and Mariah Carey.
The Sussexes, meanwhile, have been quite visible in recent weeks. They were spotted at Game 4 of the World Series on October 28th, cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers, and later pulled double duty on Saturday, attending both Jenner’s party and the annual Baby2Baby Gala in West Hollywood, where they posed with Serena Williams.
