British musician Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Richard Harrison, has announced the cancellation of his remaining tour dates for the year. The decision comes after the “Strawberry Lipstick” singer received concerning test results and was advised by his medical team to take a break from touring.
During a routine check-up while off the road, Harrison underwent standard testing. He later shared online that both his vocal and blood tests “raised some concerns,” leading to his doctor’s orders to halt all touring commitments until the end of the year.
In a heartfelt message to fans on Instagram, Yungblud expressed his reluctance to cancel shows but stressed the necessity of prioritizing his health. “It is in my nature to run and run until I run myself to the ground without giving a f— about anything apart from the music and you guys,” he wrote. “But this time I’ve been told I have to take it seriously and I can’t f— around.”
While the specific health issues were not immediately disclosed, the “Abyss” singer admitted to being “heartbroken” over the decision. The canceled shows include upcoming stops in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Washington, Mexico City, and other Latin American locations.
Yungblud apologized to his fans for the inconvenience, stating, “I don’t want any lasting damage to myself, we are on a journey that I want to last forever.” He assured fans that all U.S. tickets would be refunded and promised to make it up to his international audience with more affordable shows next year.
“I never take anyone’s love support or energy for granted,” he concluded. “You know you are everything to me.
But I need this time. USA I will see you next year.
Mexico and LATAM we are already looking into my own shows down there that will be more affordable for next year too. It’s gonna be unbelievable.
I can’t wait.”
