First Lady Melania Trump’s Solo Christmas Visit to Marine Base Reveals “True Colors,” Says Expert
Quantico, VA – First Lady Melania Trump embarked on a solo Christmas visit to Marine Corps Base Quantico today, participating in the annual Marine Toys for Tots Drive. Her appearance, a day after attending the Kennedy Center Honors with her husband, offered a glimpse into a more relaxed and approachable side, according to a body language expert.
Mrs. Trump spent the morning mingling with military families, engaging with children, and assisting them in making Christmas cards. This solo public engagement, a departure from her typically more reserved presence during her husband’s second term, appeared to be embraced by the First Lady.
Body language expert Judi James commented on Mrs. Trump’s demeanor, particularly during an interaction with Santa Claus. “This is such a sweet pose with Melania looking as elegant as usual but also mightily amused to be not only walking with Santa but also holding onto his arm in a rather old-fashioned, gentlemanly/ladylike body language style,” James observed.
James further highlighted Mrs. Trump’s “regal wave” and “third level” smile, suggesting a genuine sense of good humor and comfort in the moment. “She’s tucked her hand into his arm and her smile looks third level, a really relaxed and authentic one that has caused folds in the skin of her cheeks to signal genuine seasonal good humor here,” James added.
Throughout her husband’s political career, Melania Trump has faced scrutiny regarding her engagement with her duties as First Lady and her public appearances. Despite these claims, she has consistently maintained the authenticity of her relationship with the former president and acknowledged the challenges of embracing the role of First Lady.
In a past interview with Fox News, Mrs. Trump reflected on her journey, stating, “I feel I was always me the first time as well, I just feel that people didn’t accept me, maybe.
They didn’t understand me the way maybe they do now. I didn’t have much support.”
Her relaxed demeanor at Quantico stood in contrast to her appearance the previous evening at the Kennedy Center gala, where she remained largely silent while her husband addressed reporters.
During her speech to the military families, Mrs. Trump injected a lighthearted tone, joking about Santa’s reindeer.
“You might be wondering why Santa asked me to bring him here today,” she quipped. “Well, this wonderful adventure is filled with Christmas sparkle and lots of love.
Santa’s reindeer – Rudolph, Dasher, Comet, all of them – they’re resting in the North Pole.” She emphasized the reindeer’s need to “save all of their energy for their great flight around the world on Christmas Eve.”
