Nurse Allegedly Gang-Raped After Mistaking Hotel Room in India; Three Suspects Detained

Maharashtra, India – A 30-year-old nurse was reportedly subjected to a horrific gang rape after accidentally approaching the wrong hotel room door in Maharashtra state, India. The devastating attack, which unfolded between Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, has led to the detention of three suspects: Ghanshyam Rathod, 27, Rishikesh Chavan, 25, and Kiran Rathod, 27.

According to initial reports, the victim was on her way to visit a friend when the alleged brutal assault occurred. She was reportedly dragged into the room, forced to consume alcohol, and then sexually assaulted. She managed to escape the room in the early hours of Thursday morning and immediately contacted the police.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that the suspected attackers were tracked down and apprehended within three hours of the report. A preliminary investigation revealed that the three accused, who are friends, had gathered in hotel room 205 to drink liquor.

The victim mistakenly went to their room instead of her friend’s room, 105. Authorities stated that the suspects allegedly took advantage of the situation and gang-raped her.

The victim is employed as a nurse at a private hospital.
