Louisville, KY – The tragic toll from the UPS Flight 2976 crash in November has sadly risen to 15, following the death of Alain Rodriguez Colina on Christmas Day. Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg confirmed the somber news on Thursday, expressing his profound sadness.

“It is with great sadness that I just learned Alain Rodriguez Colina has passed,” Mayor Greenberg shared on social media. “Alain is the 15th victim of the UPS Flight 2976 accident.”

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear also offered his condolences, urging continued support for the grieving families. “Let’s pray for these families today and in the days, months and years to come so they know they are not alone and they are loved,” Governor Beshear posted on Thursday evening.

Colina had been battling severe injuries since the November 4 accident, which occurred as UPS Flight 2976 was departing Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport en route to Honolulu. Kentucky officials reported that the aircraft’s left engine ignited and detached during takeoff, leading to the devastating crash into nearby buildings and extensive damage to the surrounding area.
