Texas Sheriff: Missing Teenager in “Imminent Danger”

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar has issued a grave warning, stating that authorities believe 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos, who vanished on Christmas Eve, is “in imminent danger.”

The FBI is providing crucial technical assistance, while the Department of Homeland Security is actively monitoring border crossings and international travel, according to Sheriff Salazar. “We definitely don’t want to miss anything,” he emphasized, noting that while ground searches are currently focused on a limited area, investigators are not ruling out the possibility that the case could extend beyond U.S. borders.

Sheriff Salazar also confirmed that Olmos, an American citizen, has not been detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He stated that this was a personal concern he had checked to ensure she wasn’t in any federal detention facility.

A Facebook post from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office on December 24 detailed the circumstances of Olmos’ disappearance. She was last seen leaving her home around 6:58 a.m. that day.

Video footage shows an individual, believed to be Camila, searching inside her vehicle before the footage ends. Authorities believe she left on foot, as her vehicle remained at the residence.

According to her mother, Camila typically goes for a morning walk. However, concern grew when she did not return within a reasonable timeframe.

The only items believed to be on Olmos are her car key and possibly her driver’s license. She was last seen wearing a baby blue and black hoodie, baby blue pajama bottoms, and white shoes.
