Dr. Seuss Stumped Steve Harvey on “Family Feud”

Local News Desk – “Family Feud” host Steve Harvey is known for his quick wit and hilarious reactions to outlandish answers, but a recent episode saw him completely out of his depth when faced with a survey question about Dr. Seuss. The beloved children’s author proved to be a blind spot for Harvey, leading to some truly awkward and chuckle-worthy moments.

The episode pitted the Story family against the Zito family. When the question “If Dr.

Seuss had a birthday party, name someone you’d expect to see there” was unveiled, things quickly went off the rails. Joey from the Zito family buzzed in first with a baffling “My mother-in-law,” leaving Harvey speechless.

The Story family’s Yasmine followed suit with “Mickey Mouse,” which only added to Harvey’s confusion. Even after Yasmine tried to explain her logic, the board remained stubbornly red.

Melissa from the Zito family then offered up “Mr. Bean,” further cementing the idea that Dr.

Seuss’s birthday bash was shaping up to be a very strange guest list.

Finally, Alicia from the Story family came to the rescue with the top answer: “The Cat in the Hat.” Her teammate April then confidently offered “Thing 1,” an answer that once again left Harvey scratching his head. Upon seeing it on the board, he sheepishly admitted, “I didn’t have this type of childhood.”

The Seussian confusion continued when Donielle suggested “Green Eggs & Ham.” A bewildered Harvey questioned, “Is Ham a person?”

While teammate Antonio clarified the connection, the answer wasn’t on the board, giving the Story family their first strike. Antonio then tried “the goldfish,” resulting in a second strike.

Yasmine’s subsequent inability to provide any answer at all led to the Story family’s third strike, passing the opportunity to steal to the Zito family.

With the game on the line, Joey from the Zito family consulted with his teammates before confidently declaring “The Grinch.” To their relief, “The Grinch” was indeed on the board, securing them the win and the points.

Harvey then revealed the remaining answers: “His publisher,” “The Lorax,” “Mrs. Seuss,” and “Horton.”

It seems even seasoned television hosts can be caught off guard by the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss, proving that sometimes, even the most straightforward questions can lead to the most unexpected and hilarious outcomes.
