Prince Harry’s UK Security Review Could Pave Way for Royal Reconciliation

London, UK – Prince Harry may soon regain full-time, armed security protection during his visits to the United Kingdom, a development that royal experts suggest could signal a significant step towards reconciliation within the royal family.

The Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC) is reportedly reconsidering its 2020 decision to deny the Duke of Sussex this level of protection. This potential reversal comes after Prince Harry formally requested a review of the security policies.

Sources close to the Home Office have indicated that “security is now nailed on for Harry,” according to the Mail on Sunday. Additionally, sources speaking to People magazine confirmed that RAVEC is making “positive” considerations regarding the possible policy shift.

Royal observers believe this could be a pivotal moment for the estranged royal. “If the reports are true that the Government body RAVEC have now established that Harry and the family can receive full protection whilst in Great Britain, then it shows that perhaps Harry was right all the time to seek legal confirmation on this fact,” stated royal expert Ian Pelham Turner to Fox News Digital.

Turner further elaborated that this “U-turn in policy” could signify a “thaw in relationships” and make a “reconciliation with all the family possible.” He also speculated that whispers surrounding King Charles’s health might be a contributing factor to this timely policy change.

“Is that a consideration for this U-turn in policy clearing up issues before more decisive arrangements are made?” Turner questioned.

He added, “If it is deemed officially true, the door is opening for a united royal family once more. I believe Charles has listened to public opinion and wishes to make sure if something untoward happens to him – Harry and William will support Camilla as a queen in some capacity.”

The British government withdrew police protection for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after they stepped back from their senior royal duties in 2020. Since then, Prince Harry has been engaged in a legal battle, asserting the necessity of this protection for his family and even offering to cover the costs himself.

In December, Prince Harry privately wrote to Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, requesting a comprehensive security risk assessment after his previous appeal was denied. Following this letter, RAVEC’s risk management board initiated its first reassessment of his threat level since 2020.

Prince Harry has repeatedly voiced concerns about the safety of his wife and their two young children when visiting Britain, citing a past incident where he was pursued by paparazzi after a London charity event. His deep-seated animosity towards the media stems from the tragic death of his mother, Princess Diana, in a 1997 car crash while her driver attempted to evade photographers.

Both Harry and Meghan have consistently stated that pervasive racist attitudes and relentless media intrusion were primary motivators behind their decision to leave the UK.
