Disney Unveils Stars for Live-Action “Tangled”: Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim Set to Enchant

The highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Disney’s “Tangled” has officially found its leading duo! Australian actor Teagan Croft is set to embody the long-haired princess Rapunzel, while “Zombies” star Milo Manheim will take on the charming rogue, Flynn Rider (also known as Eugene Fitzherbert).

Disney made the exciting announcement on January 7th via Instagram, stating, “Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim are Rapunzel and Flynn Rider in the live-action reimagining of Disney’s ‘Tangled.’ Coming only to theaters.”

Manheim enthusiastically shared the news with his followers, expressing his gratitude with the promise, “Too grateful to put into words. I will do him justice I promise.”

Croft brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously starred in “Titans,” “True Spirit,” “The Osiris Child,” and “Alphas.” Manheim is widely recognized for his work in Disney Channel’s “Zombies” franchise, alongside appearances in “Thanksgiving,” “Journey to Bethlehem,” and “Platonic.” He also showcased his dancing prowess, securing second place in Season 27 of “Dancing With the Stars.”

The live-action “Tangled” will be helmed by director Michael Gracey, celebrated for his work on “The Greatest Showman.”

The original animated “Tangled,” released in 2010, featured Mandy Moore as Rapunzel, Zachary Levi as Flynn Rider, and Donna Murphy as the voice of Mother Gothel. While the lead roles are now cast, fans eagerly await further announcements regarding additional actors, particularly the villainous antagonist.

Reports from The Hollywood Reporter indicate that the live-action “Tangled” has been in development for several years, with actors reportedly testing for the lead roles as recently as last month.
