Hadid Sister Comments on Beckham Family Drama

Additional Coverage:

In a surprising twist of celebrity connections, the Beckham and Hadid families are once again intertwined, this time in the midst of a very public family squabble. Alana Hadid, the older sister to supermodels Gigi, Bella, and Anwar Hadid, recently offered her two cents on the escalating drama between Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham and Brooklyn’s famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham.

The connection runs deeper than mere celebrity circles; Alana’s younger brother, Anwar Hadid, previously dated Nicola Peltz Beckham from 2017 to 2018, before Nicola went on to marry Brooklyn Beckham in 2022.

The latest wave of family drama kicked off on January 19, when Brooklyn Beckham took to Instagram Stories, unleashing a series of accusations against his parents. He alleged that David and Victoria Beckham had been “trying endlessly to ruin” his relationship with Nicola “since before my wedding.”

The brewing Beckham family feud drew comparisons to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rift with the British royal family, particularly after an Instagram meme highlighted the similarities. Alana Hadid couldn’t resist weighing in on Tuesday.

Responding to a comment that critiqued Brooklyn’s lengthy public rant for privacy, Hadid fired back, “Right, and that girl doesn’t want privacy. She’s been trying to be famous for a decade 😂😂😂😂”

Among Brooklyn’s grievances, he claimed his 2022 wedding to Nicola was overshadowed by his mother, Victoria Beckham. He alleged that the Spice Girls alum and renowned fashion designer canceled making Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute and danced “very inappropriately” with him at the ceremony. The couple reportedly renewed their vows in August to “create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness,” Brooklyn explained.

Addressing rumors of estrangement from his family due to his marriage, Brooklyn Beckham stated, “the narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards.” Instead, he asserted, he has “been controlled by my parents for most of my life.”

“Inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into,” he continued. “My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press or manipulation. All we want [is] peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”

Representatives for Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham have been contacted for comment.
