Paige Spiranac Returns to Instagram with a Fresh Look After Hiatus

Golf social media sensation Paige Spiranac has officially ended her three-month Instagram silence, making a splash with a brand-new hairstyle that has her four million followers buzzing.

While the early days of 2026 have seen major golf headlines dominated by Brooks Koepka’s move back to the PGA Tour and Rory McIlroy’s call for Ryder Cup teammates to settle their outstanding fines, Spiranac’s return to social media marks her first post since October 24th of last year. Her absence was, in part, due to a wave of serious threats she received following her participation in the Internet Invitational.

Taking to her Instagram story, the 32-year-old shared a life update, simply captioning a photo of her new look with, “Life update. I got bangs.”

Fans were quick to respond with overwhelmingly positive feedback. Comments on X (formerly Twitter) included, “I like them.

They change your look totally,” and “That hairstyle looks great on you!” Others added, “I love it!

You’re so beautiful,” and “Looking great Paige.”

Spiranac’s extended break from the platform stemmed from a challenging incident at last year’s Internet Invitational, an event hosted by Barstool Sports and YouTuber Bob Does Sports, which pitted golf influencers against each other for a $1 million prize.

During the final round, Spiranac, who previously played on the Cactus Tour before stepping away from professional golf in 2016, was seen brushing aside grass in the deep rough on the ninth hole. This action, intended to give a teammate a clearer shot, was caught on camera. Spiranac tearfully explained she was unaware it was against the rules.

“I didn’t realize that you couldn’t do that. I didn’t think I improved… I didn’t move the ball,” she stated at the time. “I just don’t want people to think that I would try to cheat.”

The aftermath of the incident led to a torrent of online abuse. In a subsequent Instagram Q&A, Spiranac revealed the severe nature of the threats.

“The last week and a half has been probably the worst hate I’ve ever received in the ten years of me doing this,” she told her followers. “I’m talking tens of thousands of death threats, people telling me to kill myself, the most vile, horrendous stuff you could ever say to an individual.

That’s been in my DMs to the point where we were discussing me having to potentially get a restraining order. I mean, it’s serious stuff.

It’s not easy, and it hasn’t been easy.”

Now, with a fresh cut and a renewed presence online, Spiranac appears ready to move forward.
