Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Buzz: Bad Bunny Predictions Take Center Stage

Anticipation is reaching a fever pitch for the Super Bowl LX halftime show, now just days away. Global rap superstar Bad Bunny, announced as the headliner last September, has only amplified the excitement after a triumphant Sunday at the Grammy Awards, where he snagged three awards, including Album of the Year.

The growing popularity of prediction markets has opened the door for fans to wager on real-world events, and the Super Bowl halftime show is no exception. Data from Kalshi and Polymarket reveals that over $6 million has already been bet on everything from Bad Bunny’s song choices to his potential guest performers on Super Bowl Sunday.

With the big game rapidly approaching, Mirror U.S. Sports consulted a self-proclaimed Bad Bunny superfan for her insights into what the artist might deliver.

Bad Bunny’s Opening Act: A Puerto Rican Welcome?

Jailene Cuevas, a dedicated fan who has attended 11 Bad Bunny concerts, including three in his native Puerto Rico, believes the show will kick off with “VOY A LLeVARTE PA PR.”

“The reason I say that,” Cuevas explained, “is because in his residency and now on his tour, he picks out a fan to say the first words of the song, which is, ‘Acho, PR es otra cosa,’ meaning, ‘Damn, Puerto Rico is something else.'” She added, “For me, I feel like it’ll set the tone like, yeah, PR is a different world, it’s a different thing.”

The Grand Finale: A Powerful Message?

For the closing number, Cuevas predicts “LA MuDANZA” will make a powerful statement. “I say that because in the song, he says, ‘No one’s going to take me out of here, from here I’m not going to move, tell them that this is my home, where my grandfather was born, I am from P f—ing R.'” She emphasized, “I think it would set the tone and be a very strong message.”

Who Will Join Bad Bunny Onstage?

Cuevas has some exciting predictions for guest performers:

  • Rauw Alejandro: “I feel like we’re going to have Rauw Alejandro, who he has a huge song ‘Party’ with, and people love that song.”
  • El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico (with Los Pleneros de la Cresta): “El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico is probably going to collab with Los Pleneros de la Cresta for some salsa.

He does sample El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, and he is yet to make any shows with them. One of the original bandmates just passed away so it would be very strong.”

  • Tego Calderón: “If we’re going to talk another big reggaeton star, then Tego Calderón. He does sample some Tego, they have met before, and he has yet to bring him out at any show.”

Fashion Forward: Bad Bunny’s Onstage Style

When it comes to wardrobe, Cuevas expects Bad Bunny to make a statement. “I think he’s definitely going to set a statement with his clothes,” she asserted.

“He’s always been big on his Puerto Rican culture, but I think this album specifically, he dresses as a jíbaro, he dresses up in shorts and bling, kind of like a young party person, and then he’ll probably have a suit to sing the salsa which a lot of salsa singers are known to wear.”
