Paul Thomas Anderson Takes Home Top DGA Honor for “One Battle After Another”

Los Angeles, CA – Filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson was the big winner at the Directors Guild of America Awards on Saturday, securing the prestigious Best Feature Film award for his latest work, One Battle After Another. The ceremony, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, celebrated outstanding directorial achievements across film and television.

Charlie Polinger was recognized with the Best First Feature award for The Plague, while Mstyslav Chernov’s 2000 Meters to Andriivka earned the honor for Best Documentary.

On the television front, Amanda Marsalis received the award for Best Direction in a Drama Series for her work on The Pitt. The dynamic duo of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg shared the accolade for Best Direction in a Comedy Series for The Studio.

Shannon Murphy was honored with the trophy for Best Direction in a Limited or Anthology Series for Dying for Sex, and Stephen Chbosky took home the prize for Best Direction of a TV Movie for Nonnas.

The evening’s gala was skillfully hosted by actor, comedian, writer, and producer Kumail Nanjiani.
