Seahawks Name New Offensive Boss

Additional Coverage:

Seattle, WA – The Seattle Seahawks have reportedly found their new offensive coordinator, and it seems fans can expect a familiar offensive approach. Multiple sources indicate the Seahawks are bringing in Brian Fleury, who previously served as the San Francisco 49ers’ tight ends coach.

Fleury’s tenure with the 49ers began in 2019 on the defensive side as a quality control coach. He transitioned to offense in 2020, initially in an offensive quality control role, before being promoted to tight ends coach in 2022. In 2025, his responsibilities expanded to include run game coordinator.

Fleury steps into the role vacated by Klint Kubiak, who departed to become the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders following Super Bowl LX. Interestingly, Kubiak previously held the position of passing game coordinator for the 49ers in 2023, where he worked alongside Fleury and head coach Kyle Shanahan.

Adding another layer of familiarity, Fleury has some experience with quarterback Sam Darnold, who spent the 2023 season as the 49ers’ backup quarterback.
