“GOAT” Dunks on Competition, Claims Top Spot at Box Office

The animated basketball comedy “GOAT,” featuring the vocal talents of Caleb McLaughlin and Gabrielle Union, has soared to the No. 1 position in North America, raking in an impressive $17 million this past weekend.

The film, which blends hoops action with humor, beat out a diverse slate of contenders to claim the top spot. Following “GOAT” at No. 2 was “Wuthering Heights,” earning $14.2 million. “I Can Only Imagine 2” secured the No. 3 spot with $8 million, while “Crime 101” landed at No. 4 with $5.8 million, and “Send Help” rounded out the top five with $4.5 million.

The rest of the top ten included “How to Make a Killing” at No. 6 with $3.6 million, “Elvis Presley in Concert” at No. 7 with $3.3 million, “Solo Mio” at No. 8 with $2.6 million, “Zootopia 2” at No. 9 with $2.3 million, and “Avatar: Fire and Ash” closing out the list at No. 10 with $1.8 million.
