Sharon Osbourne’s Morning Must-Haves: News, Ice, and That Iconic Red Hue

Before diving into her elaborate beauty regimen, 73-year-old television personality Sharon Osbourne has a non-negotiable morning ritual: catching up on the news. “The morning routine has to be the news, the world news.

I’m, like, addicted to it,” Osbourne confessed on Bunnie XO’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast. After scanning social media and emails, her day truly begins.

Osbourne, wife of the late Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, shared the specifics of her skincare routine, which involves a chilly start. “I do the bowl, and then I do it in, you know, in a little baggie, and just keep doing it. And then I do a face mask, and then I start the day,” she explained, referring to her method of icing her face.

Beyond her complexion, Osbourne is equally dedicated to maintaining her signature vibrant red hair, which she refreshes “every 10 days.” While the bold color is striking, she admitted it comes with its own set of challenges.

“It’s a nightmare. My neck is red.

Everything I wear is red. The pillowcases,” she lamented about the color transfer.

Osbourne revealed that red is a shade she consistently returns to, influenced by her mother’s own fiery locks. Though she dabbled with blonde highlights in the ’80s, attempts to embrace her natural gray or white proved less than appealing.

“I would look at my reflection sometimes, like in a shop window. I’d go, who the f*** is that?

It’s me. Like, no thanks,” she quipped about her experience with a lighter shade.

Osbourne isn’t alone in her commitment to a news-first morning. Other prominent figures, such as Google CEO Sundar Pichai, who starts his day with tech news, and Martha Stewart, 84, who dedicates her early hours to reading and puzzles, also prioritize staying informed. Scholastic CEO Peter Warwick similarly begins his mornings by browsing news sites and checking on his favorite soccer team, Arsenal.
