Hong Kong – Golfer Jon Rahm clinched his first individual title since 2024 at the LIV Golf Hong Kong event on Sunday.

Rahm’s final round saw him shoot 6 under, bringing his tournament total to an impressive 23 under. This put him three strokes ahead of runner-up Thomas Detry. The Spanish golfer hadn’t secured an individual victory since the LIV Golf Chicago event back in 2024.

“I’ve been very ecstatic for wins in the past,” Rahm commented. “This one just feels like a big weight off my shoulders.”

The two-time defending LIV Golf champion started the final round at Hong Kong Golf Club at Fanling tied at 17 under with Detry and Harold Varner III. Thomas Pieters ultimately finished in third place, four strokes behind Rahm at 19 under.

Rahm reflected on his performance, stating, “I played really good all day. It was incredible. But I just tried to stay very patient and committed to each shot, knowing that I was doing everything right and things were going to happen.”

In the team competition, Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces GC emerged victorious, taking home the team prize.
