Singer Jessie J Recovers from On-Tour Injury, Reveals Ambitious Future Plans
Beijing, China – Pop sensation Jessie J recently found herself making an unexpected visit to a Beijing hospital for an MRI scan, following a mishap while on tour. The “Bang Bang” songstress, 37, took to Instagram to share details of the incident, revealing she hit her head in a car en route to a concert in the Chinese capital.
Footage previously shared online captured the moment Jessie J climbed into the back of a vehicle, inadvertently striking her head on the roof. The Grammy-nominated singer later posted clips from the hospital, including her undergoing an MRI. She provided updates to her followers, assuring them of her condition and her determination to perform despite the injury.
“Yeah, I just can’t move my head. I’m alright.
I’ll just have to take some painkillers and march right through it,” Jessie J informed her audience in a video update. She initially feared a severe injury, stating, “I thought I’d broken my neck, but I haven’t.
But I have really hurt my neck and my back.”
This latest health setback occurs during a busy period for the artist. It also follows her public discussions about recovering from a cancer diagnosis in 2025, which necessitated two operations.
Beyond her current tour, Jessie J has been openly discussing her expanded career aspirations. During a recent appearance on the Women’s Health UK “Just As Well” podcast, she revealed plans to venture beyond music into new creative fields.
“Next year I’d love to go into stand-up. I would love to do comedy more. I’d love to do film,” Jessie J shared, indicating a desire to pursue acting and comedy in the coming year, alongside her ongoing music career.
The entertainer also addressed how she intends to balance these new creative endeavors with her songwriting and extensive touring schedule. “I’m obviously touring a lot next year.
I definitely want to make more music. I haven’t written a song for three years, but I know it’s all there ready to come out,” she added during her podcast appearance.
Ultimately, Jessie J emphasized her desire for a fulfilling and balanced life. “I just want to be happy.
Happy, sane, enjoying what I do, calm, healthy, being as present as a mum as I am at work with some decent tunes out. And maybe doing something that challenges me, whether it’s a book or a children’s album or comedy or Broadway or film, whatever’s going to come will come.”
