FOX and Friends Co-Host Carley Shimkus Announces Second Child, Expecting Baby Boy in July
Long Island is abuzz with exciting news as Carley Shimkus, popular co-host of FOX and Friends, revealed Friday that she is expecting her second child. The announcement was made live during the morning program’s broadcast, delighting viewers and her fellow hosts.
Shimkus, 39, shared that she is 22 weeks into her pregnancy and is anticipating the arrival of another baby boy in late July. She made the heartwarming announcement alongside co-host Brian Kilmeade, openly discussing the pregnancy’s timeline and how it might influence her family’s living situation. “I’m having another baby,” Shimkus happily declared at the close of a news segment.
“My husband and I and Brock, my son, who’s now three, are so excited,” Shimkus shared. “Baby number two is going to be due at the end of July.” She expressed her hopes for her sons, saying, “I pray that they’re going to be the best of friends throughout their whole entire life.”
Shimkus also candidly admitted to initially hoping for a different outcome. “Before I got pregnant, I was thinking…wouldn’t it be nice to have like a sweet little girl who likes to color?”

“I knew this baby is just such a blessing from God. And I’m so excited to have a second child.”

Kilmeade playfully suggested, “You said when you have another baby, you’ve got to think about moving out of the city and Long Island wants you to move out.” Shimkus acknowledged these comments, mentioning that a close friend has already been sending her real estate listings for properties in Massapequa, hinting at the possibility of new neighbors and a “built-in babysitter.”
Beyond the live broadcast, Shimkus also shared the joyous news on social media Friday, posting an image of herself, her husband Peter Buchignani, and their son Brock with a cake adorned with blue frosting. “Big brother training starts now. Baby Boy #2 arriving in July,” she captioned the photo.
Carley Shimkus and Peter Buchignani began their relationship in 2013, tying the knot in 2015 during a private ceremony at her New Jersey home. Their first son, Brock, was born in January 2023, with the couple sharing at the time, “Welcome to the world sweet Brock.
