Chiefs GM Keeps Fans Guessing on Kelces Taylor Swift Wedding Invite

As the Kansas City Chiefs gear up for the upcoming NFL Draft, general manager Brett Veach is keeping tight-lipped about one of the season’s most talked-about off-field stories: the rumored wedding of star tight end Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift.

During a recent interview at the NFL meetings in Arizona, Veach was asked if he had received an invitation to Kelce and Swift’s anticipated wedding. His response was brief and evasive.

“We’ll see,” Veach said on “The Schrager Hour” podcast. “Couldn’t say either way.”

He then humorously called it “the hardest-hitting question you’ll ever ask me,” before quickly redirecting the conversation back to football matters.

Veach made it clear that while he might disclose draft details-such as who the Chiefs plan to select with the ninth pick-any information about the wedding is off limits. “I cannot disclose anything about the wedding,” he emphasized.

Kelce and Swift announced their engagement in August 2025 with a playful joint Instagram post, captioned: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” Reports indicate the couple plans to tie the knot on June 13 in Rhode Island.

On the field, Kelce remains focused on football. The Pro Bowler recently signed a new deal to return to Kansas City for his 14th season.

Speaking on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Kelce expressed his continued passion for the game, saying, “I’m still in love with this game. I still love going to work and putting on the pads, grinding it out and just playing the game.”

At the NFL Scouting Combine earlier this year, Veach praised Kelce’s impact, calling him an “icon” and acknowledging his impressive career achievements. “Travis has done everything and has accomplished everything,” Veach said. He also noted Kelce’s busy personal life, including his upcoming marriage, adding that while negotiations are ongoing, the team remains optimistic about his future with the Chiefs.

The Chiefs are coming off a challenging season, which saw their decade-long playoff streak come to an end and quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffer a season-ending ACL injury late in the year. As the team looks ahead to 2026, all eyes will be on the draft and how key players like Kelce will contribute to getting Kansas City back into contention.
