Natalie Portman is expecting a child with her partner, Tanguy Destable, the actress recently confirmed. The 44-year-old star expressed feeling “lucky” and “grateful” to be welcoming her third child.

Portman, known for her roles in films like Black Swan and the Marvel franchise, publicly shared the news on April 17, 2026. This comes after her 2023 separation and subsequent 2024 divorce from husband Benjamin Millepied, with whom she shares two children: Aleph, 14, and Amalia, 9.

The actress and Destable, a French electronic music producer who performs under the name Tepr, have been together since March 2025. Destable has two children from a previous relationship. The couple currently resides in Paris.

In a recent Harper’s Bazaar interview, Portman spoke candidly about her pregnancy, highlighting her awareness of the challenges many women face with fertility-something she is particularly attuned to, having grown up with a fertility doctor as a parent. “I know how lucky it is,” she said. “There is a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day.”

Following a very public divorce after 11 years of marriage-amid reports of Millepied’s affair with a younger French climate activist-Portman appears to have found renewed joy in this new chapter of her life.

Despite being pregnant, Portman remains professionally active, with upcoming projects including the film The Gallerist, directed by Cathy Yan and set for release later this year, and Netflix’s Good Sex, directed by Lena Dunham and featuring a notable cast including Mark Ruffalo, Meg Ryan, and Rashida Jones, scheduled for early 2027.
