Daniel Coleman, star of the show Danny Go!, has shared the heartbreaking news that his 14-year-old son, Isaac, has passed away after a courageous battle with aggressive cancer.
Coleman, a devoted father of two, announced Isaac’s death on Thursday, May 21. The teen had been diagnosed with stage 3 mouth cancer in December 2025, a diagnosis linked to his rare inherited condition, Fanconi anemia. The news came just weeks after Coleman revealed that Isaac had been moved to hospice care.
On May 22, Coleman posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, accompanied by a photo of Isaac and a touching black-and-white image of father and son together. He wrote, “Isaac Daniel Coleman.
10/3/11-5/21/26. Oh my sweet boy.
There’s so much I want to say, but I don’t know how yet. I already miss you so much, and the pain in my heart is far more than I can process.
But looking through thousands of pictures and videos this past week, I’m also filled with tremendous pride.”
He continued, “Your 14 years were full of so many challenges, but you met them all with such grit…and you somehow kept your trademark joy in spite of it all. You truly had a spark like no other, Isaac!
Remembering how loved you were and how full of life your time here was gives me great comfort. Being your dad was the honor of a lifetime.
I’m so proud of you and I love you forever. Rest peacefully, son.”
Isaac’s diagnosis was initially revealed by Coleman in December 2025, acknowledging that due to Isaac’s Fanconi anemia-a rare genetic disorder affecting bone marrow and increasing cancer risk-they had anticipated such news but hoped it would come later. Coleman shared the shock and difficulty of hearing the diagnosis, explaining that they planned to proceed with surgery as soon as possible.
Fanconi anemia, according to medical experts, not only raises the risk of blood disorders and certain cancers but can also cause physical abnormalities affecting various organs and appearance.
In April, Coleman updated fans that Isaac’s condition had worsened and he had been moved to hospice care after a brief round of palliative radiation aimed at slowing the growth of a tumor near his right eye. The family shifted focus toward comfort and quality of life during Isaac’s remaining time.
Coleman and his wife Mindy also have a younger son, Levi, born in 2015. The family has asked for privacy as they grieve the loss of their beloved Isaac.
