- The View’s Joy Behar reveals cosmetic procedures she’s undergone to maintain her youthful looks (themirror.com)
At 83, Joy Behar continues to embrace her signature glow, openly discussing the cosmetic treatments she’s used to maintain her youthful appearance. On the May 19 episode of the Behind the Table podcast, the longtime host of The View addressed persistent facelift rumors, clarifying what procedures she has actually undergone.
Joy was clear: she has never had a facelift. Instead, she credits Botox and fillers for some of her rejuvenation, along with recent hair treatments including dye, highlights, and a keratin treatment.
“Look how stunning the hair looks,” she said, responding to questions about whether she’s a natural redhead. “No.
No. And, but you have to do things… everybody thinks you look good because you’re naturally that good.
You’re not.”
Beyond aesthetics, Joy shared candid insights into how she stays active and mentally sharp. Although she admitted she dislikes exercising – “I’d rather go to the dentist” – she regularly attends Pilates classes to keep moving. For her mental fitness, Joy relies on daily crossword puzzles, writing plays, her work on The View, and maintaining a robust social network.
Fans quickly took to the podcast’s YouTube comments to express admiration for Joy’s honesty and spirit. One viewer wrote, “Love Joy!
And I agree. Keep learning new things.
More knowledge. Wisdom that keeps growing keeps the mind and body healthy.”
Others praised her vibrant presence and beauty.
Joy has also been open about her experience with weight-loss injectables. On a February episode of The View, she acknowledged the common struggle with weight, saying, “We all did it!
I’ve been on diets up and down… Nobody wants to be fat except a sumo wrestler. It’s uncomfortable, your clothes don’t fit, everybody wants to lose weight.”
As she continues to offer sharp political commentary and stay active both physically and mentally, Joy Behar exemplifies a candid and spirited approach to aging gracefully on her own terms.
