135K donuts in a day! Inside Carl’s Donuts busiest day of the year

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Today is National Donut Day, and Good Day Las Vegas’ JC Fernandez was live at a Las Vegas Institution to celebrate Carl’s Donuts.

Carl’s Donuts has been serving the Las Vegas Valley since 1966; this year they are celebrating their 60th anniversary.

JC was joined by Dave Ramsay, owner of Carl’s Donuts, who kicked off the morning inside the production facility where all the magic happens. Dave said that on a typical day they make between 70,000 and 80,000 donuts. But because of National Donut Day, the team is making closer to 135,000 donuts.

In addition to supplying donuts to convenience stores across Southern Nevada, including 7-Eleven, Rebel, Circle K and Speedy Mart locations, Carl’s Donuts also ships its products to Arizona and San Diego.

Later in the morning, JC headed into the retail shop with Alicia Davila, Retail Manager for Carl’s Donuts. Alicia showcased the shop’s featured National Donut Day special, the Lemon Raspberry Cloud donut, along with several special promotions available for those celebrating the holiday. Those deals included a dozen donuts for just $12 and complimentary coffee for veterans…
