2 children in critical condition following east Las Vegas valley apartment fire

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two children were hospitalized in critical condition after a fire blazed through an apartment building in east Las Vegas.

At around 11 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, crews with the Clark County Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 2600 block of Nellis Boulevard near East Sahara Avenue.

Arriving crews found a two-story apartment building with heavy fire at two units and reports of multiple people trapped inside. Firefighters initiated an attack on the fire while simultaneously beginning search and rescue efforts.

A little after 11:15 p.m., crews were able to confirm that all occupants were removed from the building and the fire was knocked down. The fire was contained to the two original units…
