1 killed, 1 arrested in Nevada State Police shooting on Las Vegas freeway

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A person was killed and a man was arrested in Wednesday’s Nevada State Police shooting on a Las Vegas freeway, according to Nevada State Police.

On Wednesday, June 10, Nevada State Police troopers were investigating a crash on northbound Interstate 11/U.S. 95 near the 4th Street on-ramp when a vehicle, unrelated to the crash, approached the scene in a “reckless manner,” hitting a tractor trailer, police said.

Troopers attempted to stop the reckless vehicle however, the driver failed to comply and continued through the crash scene before driving toward a trooper, hitting the NSP trooper and a nearby vehicle, according to police.
