LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has recorded seven officer-involved shootings through the first half of 2026, matching the total number reported during all of 2025.
At the end of last year, Sheriff Kevin McMahill highlighted a nearly 60% decrease in officer-involved shootings compared to previous years. However, that total has already been reached by June.
