Republic Services has confirmed ongoing delays in trash and recycling collection across parts of the Las Vegas valley, following complaints from residents in the northwest valley who reported missed or postponed pickups in recent weeks.
Channel 13 reporter Guy Tannenbaum looked into the complaints after hearing from viewers, including one resident near Buffalo and Racel drives who said a scheduled pickup was delayed by two hours before being pushed back a full day. Text alerts sent by Republic Services attributed the delays to unforeseen circumstances.
In response to Tannenbaum’s inquiry, a Republic Services spokesperson issued a statement addressing the disruptions: “We recently implemented enhancements to our fleet operations and have experienced service delays in some areas during the transition. We understand the inconvenience and are working to restore normal service levels as quickly as possible while maintaining safe, reliable service throughout Las Vegas.”…
