LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Clark County firefighters responded to a building fire at the Quinn Apartments, 5500 Mountain Vista St., on Friday afternoon, displacing two adults and requiring treatment of one individual by EMS.
The Clark County Fire Department arrived at 4:49 p.m. Crews found visible fire and smoke coming from a second-floor unit of the two-story apartment building.
Fire extends into attic
Firefighters extinguished the visible fire in the apartment and discovered the fire had extended into the attic. Coordinated operations on both sides of the building and on the roof were required to expose all burning areas and fully extinguish the fire.
One individual was located on the exterior of the building and treated by EMS. No firefighter injuries were reported.
Large response required
Additional engines above the standard response were requested due to the heat and extended operations. In total, 60 personnel responded, including 10 engines, two trucks, three rescues, two Battalion Chiefs, a Mobile Air Unit, and an EMS Coordinator…
