LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An email obtained by 8 News Now states that the City of Las Vegas’ Deputy Director of Public Works, Matthew Meyer, is leaving his position by Sept. 8.
The email, sent by Acting Director of Public Works Mike Cunningham to staff, said Meyer is “heading into a new chapter of his career,” after 13 years of working with the city.
The email does not give a reason for Meyer leaving. It comes after police say city maintenance worker Brysen Kim shot and killed co-worker Joey McLean on June 12…
