Tropical moisture pulled inland from Hurricane Marie will bring a threat of severe flash flooding to major Southwest cities and desert regions over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
Forecasters warn that heavy thunderstorms fueled by the system will impact Southern California, Southern Nevada, Utah, and Arizona, with Los Angeles and Las Vegas among the urban areas in the path of the storms. Locally intense downpours could disrupt outdoor holiday plans and create hazardous travel conditions.
