An upsetting situation at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas thankfully had a heartwarming ending: A two-year-old goldendoodle left behind at a ticket counter was adopted by the police officer who found him.
Here’s what to know
At Harry Reid International Airport, police video shows the dog’s owner near a counter as the pup moved around behind her. She then tied his leash to the counter and walked away. According to NBC News, the woman allegedly headed toward her departure gate because she did not have the documents required for him to fly.
After he was found by himself at the airport, the dog was affectionately named “Jet Blue.” Police said the woman was arrested by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department after the incident.
