LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — State auditors determined that trips staffers with the Clark County School District took on the taxpayer’s dime were wasteful and ineffective.
The auditors’ findings were presented last month at the Legislative Commission’s Audit Subcommittee. The audit evaluated CCSD’s activities from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2024.

According to a report titled recruitment and retention strategies, staffers spent more than $50,000 on trips to Miami, Honolulu, and Houston that auditors stated were “ineffective, expensive, and did not follow travel policy.”
