LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A new elementary school coming to the Skye Canyon neighborhood in northwest Las Vegas will be named for a late state lawmaker.
The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of Trustees voted Thursday to give the school the name of Joyce Woodhouse Elementary School.
Woodhouse was a Democratic state senator from Clark County. She served from 2006 to 2010 and again from 2012 through 2020. She died in May at the age of 82…
