LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — Clark County school police seized guns, ammunition, a 2023 Tesla, and thousands of dollars in cash from a person suspected of selling drugs to students.
According to court documents filed last week, the Clark County School District Police Department (CCSDPD) confiscated eight firearms after executing a search warrant at a Las Vegas house on Nov. 8, 2023, near Washington Avenue and Tenaya Way.
The weapons: five pistols, a ghost gun, a shotgun and a rifle.
CCSDPD confirmed to 8 News Now Edgardo Rios was arrested on drug and weapons charges.
Details of the warrant were brought to light in a Complaint of Forfeiture CCSDPD filed.
Four schools are within two miles of that house.
Officers also located dozens of boxes of ammunition, two diamond bracelets, and $40,491 in cash.
According to documents, CCSDPD officers received a tip of an adult going to schools to sell drugs on campuses.
Rios allegedly posted videos and photos on social media while “selling drugs to CCSD students, brandishing firearms, and filming CCSDPD while he was doing so,” according to police.
