Clark County District Court judge Erika Ballou has been accused of violating the code of ethics for posting ‘inappropriate’ pictures on her social media accounts
A Las Vegas judge has been accused of violating the code of ethics for posting “inappropriate” pictures and messages to her social media accounts.
A formal statement of charges was filed against Clark County District Court judge Erika Ballou by Nevada lawyer Francis C. Flaherty acting as a special counsel before the Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline. The complaint alleges that Ballou violated the Revised Nevada Code of Judicial Conduct and cites an image she shared in April, 2022, on Facebook of herself wearing a bathing suit in a hot tub with public defenders Shana Brouwers and Robson Hauser.
“Robson is surrounded by great tits,” the photo’s caption said.
According to the filing, the Facebook post allegedly violated rules requiring a judge to “promote public confidence in the independence, integrity, and impartiality of the judiciary and shall avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety.”
