A HOMEOWNER said he felt like his HOA had made him feel like a “prisoner” due to a dispute.

Tyrone Foster and his mom Laura said their HOA had started to fine them $100 every two weeks for the violation that they disagreed with.

The Fosters, from Alinate, Nevada, in North Las Vegas, installed a gazebo in their backyard 10 years before the HOA raised it as an issue, according to CBS affiliate KLAS-TV.

This mother and son received a letter in November 2018 from Prominence at Aliante Homeowners Association asking then them to remove their gazebo.

“Currently we are unable to locate an approved ARC Application for the gazebo,” the HOA letter reportedly said.

The homeowners were upset as they claimed nobody had told them they needed to apply for permission at the time.
