CCSD bus driver arrested on DUI charge after school bus crash

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Clark County School District bus driver was arrested on a DUI charge after he was involved in a crash while driving a school bus, according to CCSD.

Liston Torres Nazaire, 48, was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of suspicion of driving under the influence and reckless driving, along with other charges.

Nazaire was arrested after a crash involving a bus driven by him that occurred near Vegas Valley Drive and Nellis Boulevard. No students were on board at the time of the crash, CCSD said.

Nazaire is a special education bus driver and has been employed by the district since March 2007. He will be placed on unpaid leave per the terms of the negotiated agreement with the bargaining unit.
