CCSD substitute teacher arrested, faces charges of abuse, neglect

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A Clark County substitute teacher has been arrested and faces abuse and neglect charges stemming from an incident at an east Las Vegas valley elementary school on Thursday, according to Clark County School District Police.

Roberta McIntyre, 66, was arrested on Thursday for three counts of abuse and neglect and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.

CCSD bus driver arrested on DUI charge after school bus crash

The arrest is connection to an investigation at Robert E. Lake Elementary School on Thursday, police said. The school is located near Sahara and Eastern avenues.

McIntyre has been a substitute teacher with CCSD since Dec. 2016 and has been removed from the teaching pool. She is no longer eligible to serve as a substitute within the district.

The arrest comes one day after a CCSD bus driver was arrested on a DUI charge after he was involved in a crash while driving a school bus.
